WAMBOMA Women Business Enterprise is a women-led social enterprise based in the Kilimanjaro Region of Tanzania. We connect women farmers with the tourism industry through supply of fresh horticultural produce, cultural farm experiences, and value-added food products. Our work creates income, preserves culture, and builds resilient rural communities.

Direct Supply of Fresh Produce to Hotels & Lodges
We supply high-quality horticultural produce directly to tourist hotels and lodges across the Kilimanjaro tourism circuit. This strengthens local supply chains, reduces food miles, and provides reliable income for women farmers.
Women-Led Cultural & Farming Experiences
Experience women-led farms through tours, harvesting, and coffee crafting. Hear stories of empowerment and enjoy traditional performances. These visits promote responsible tourism while providing dignified income for local women.

Solar Fruit Drying: Value Addition
WAMBOMA’s solar enterprise transforms surplus fruit into healthy snacks for Kilimanjaro climbers, safari travelers, and regional markets. This initiative reduces post-harvest waste while diversifying income and increasing earnings for local women.
